Celebrate Your Wedding Weekend at Deerfields!

Thank you for considering Deerfields as the setting for your wedding celebration! We offer a weekend wedding retreat designed to give you the time and space to truly enjoy this special occasion with your family and friends. Your 51-hour lease includes access to all of our amenities—from Friday at 2 PM through Sunday at 5 PM—allowing you to relax and celebrate in a serene natural setting at the confluence of four tributaries of Queens Creek in the Mills River community, just south of Asheville.

Your stay includes exclusive use of both of our historic cabins, the outdoor chapel, and our spacious open-air pavilion (covered and 2,816 square feet), along with access to two scenic lakes for swimming and boating, and camping options for your guests.

The Retreat Cabin

Originally built in the 1850s and relocated to Deerfields in 1954, the Retreat Cabin features a cozy loft with a king bed, a bedroom with a full bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and a wraparound covered porch—perfect for morning coffee or greeting guests after the ceremony. Linens are included.

The Lodge

Constructed in 1935 from timber harvested right on the property, the Lodge offers four bedrooms, spacious living and dining rooms ideal for family gatherings, a large kitchen, one full bath, two half baths, and inviting piazza and veranda spaces for relaxing and taking in the view.

The Chapel

Nestled at the edge of the woods, our outdoor chapel provides a naturally beautiful backdrop for your ceremony and wedding photos. The space comfortably accommodates 200+ guests, with shuttle access available for those who need assistance. Many couples choose this site for their ceremony, while others find their perfect spot elsewhere on the property—Deerfields offers countless picturesque options for your “I do” moment. The Pavilion

Our lakeside pavilion makes an unforgettable reception venue, featuring views of both lakes and a flexible layout for dining and dancing. The space includes ten 60” round tables, three buffet tables, 70 chairs, and adjustable lighting to create the perfect ambiance. You’re welcome to bring in your own catering and alcohol. (Please note: linens are not included.)

Relax, Celebrate, and Make It Your Own

There are no curfews for your rehearsal dinner or reception—so you can celebrate as long as you wish. Our staff will assist with parking coordination before the ceremony and guide campers to their designated area for the weekend.
